What are your Medicare Options?
Part C:
Medicare Part C plans include all the basic coverage provided through Medicare Parts A and B plus more! Dental, vision, hearing, and prescription drug coverage are some of the many additional benefits covered with these types of plans. Some may even help cover the 20% copayment that is expected for Parts A and B. The two types of Part C plans are Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement. The difference between these two are affordability and flexibility to see doctors outside of a network. If you have trouble deciding which plan type best suits your needs, you can get in contact with our team here.
Part D:
One way to receive Medicare drug coverage is to purchase a stand-alone prescription drug plan that is provided by a private insurance company approved by Medicare. Each plan may differ in cost and the types of drugs covered. Neglecting to enroll in a prescription drug plan can result in lifelong penalties. Deadlines can vary depending on an individual's situation but the most common one is set 3 months after an individual's 65th birthday. If you don't meet the deadline you could face a 1% penalty every month that you are not enrolled in a Part D plan. To find a suitable PDP plan for you, contact our team here.
